Our goal at Kintech Orthopaedics is not only to assess and fabricate an assistive device to help stroke patients
recover, but to help rehabilitate them with the help of at-home or in-office portable technology with the goal to minimize or even eliminate the daily need for orthosis. We will work with your doctor and your physio-therapist to create a recovery plan. In certain cases orthosis devices may not need to be permanent , but a recovery tool to help you get back to enjoying your life to the fullest!
Once you are referred to us by your doctor, we will do a biomechanical and physical assessment with the intention of fitting you with a custom made orthotic device to meet your needs.
We have patent-pending technology with the aim of helping you recover lost ranges of motion and potentionally reduce the spasticity. We will work with your physiotherapists, families and other caregivers using manual therapy on affected joints as part of a daily routine to help manage spasticity.
We enable our patients to move up the downward spiral of degenerative health to a better place of healing from a functional point of view. The ultimate goal is to have you progress back to a level of function where you can get back to a life without an orthosis instead of a life of relying upon them.
